PRIVACY POLICY
Across the Ages is designed around private family information, user-controlled backups, and deliberate sharing—not a public social profile.

Family records are designed to remain stored locally unless you choose backup or export.
When enabled, backup uses the iCloud account connected to the device.
An export is created only when you choose to create and send one.
Across the Ages does not sell the family information you enter in the app.
This Privacy Policy explains how Across the Ages handles information in the mobile app and on the Across the Ages website. It applies to the current design of the app and should be updated whenever data practices, third-party services, or app capabilities materially change.
The app may contain names, birth dates, death dates, anniversary dates, family relationships, photographs, memorial notes, expected-family information, preferences, and other details you add. This information can concern you or other members of your family, including minors.
The website contact form may collect your name, email address, selected topic, and the message you send so that support can respond. Like most websites, the hosting provider may also process basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type, request time, and error information for security and reliable operation.
Information entered in the app is used to provide the features you request, including age calculations, photo-age calculations, birthday and anniversary reminders, family organization, memorial timekeeping, backup, restore, import, and export.
Contact information submitted through the website is used to respond to the message, investigate a reported issue, and maintain a reasonable support history.
Family information is designed to be stored on the user’s device. Across the Ages does not receive a copy of family records merely because the app is used.
If you enable iCloud backup, a restorable copy may be stored in the iCloud account associated with the device using Apple’s services. Apple’s handling of iCloud information is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.
Face ID and device-passcode authentication are handled by iOS. The app receives an authentication result and does not receive or store your Face ID biometric template.
When you create an export, the file can contain private family information and, if selected, photographs. You control where the file is saved, which sharing method is used, and who receives it. Once an export leaves the app, the recipient and the services used to send or store it may create additional copies outside our control.
Share export files only with people you trust, and delete unneeded copies from email, messages, cloud drives, downloads, and other storage locations.
Across the Ages does not sell the family information you enter. The app is designed without a public family profile or public family directory. If advertising, analytics, or new third-party data services are introduced in a future release, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures must be updated before those practices begin.
App information remains on the device until you edit, delete, reset, replace, or remove it. iCloud backups remain subject to the backup controls in the app and the user’s iCloud settings. Exported files remain wherever the user or recipient stored them.
You can use the app’s reset and deletion tools to remove local family information. Removing the app may remove local app data, but it may not remove iCloud backups or exported copies stored elsewhere.
You decide what information to enter, whether to add photographs, whether to enable reminders, whether to protect access, whether to use iCloud backup, and whether to export or share a family file. You can correct family details directly in the app and can reset the family data when you choose.
Across the Ages uses the security capabilities available on the device and is designed to minimize unnecessary transfer of family information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should keep devices updated, use a strong device passcode, protect their Apple account, and share exports carefully.
The app is intended for use by adults and family organizers. It may contain information about children when entered by a parent, guardian, or other family member. The app does not create public child profiles and is not intended for children to submit information directly to Across the Ages.
This policy may be updated when the app, website, legal requirements, or data practices change. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version.
